2020 Tesla Roadster Transmission

2020 Tesla Roadster Transmission welcome to Tesla car USA designs and manufactures electric car, we hope our site can give you best experience. They love it or hate it, the original Tesla Roadster paved the way for the Tesla that we know and love today, as well as the new model 3. Although it was based on a lotus chassis, was limited to only a few thousands of examples around the world, Roadster was one of the first electric power of sports cars that you can buy, after the launch of 2006.

With an electric core engine 248-hp (184-kw), a range of 244 miles (392 km) in a single load, and a 0-60 mph (96 kmh) time of about 3.9 seconds, was one of the fastest, also. A total of four variants were introduced in their four-year production performance, ranging in core 248-HP Model power, to 288-hp (214 kw) 2.5 sport. The production came to an end officially in 2012, with only 2,450 copies sold in more than 30 countries.

Five years later, and Tesla has finally introduced a successor to the beloved Roadster – at least a concept of that. Shown along with the new Tesla semi-truck, the company promoted some ridiculous performance figures on the stage, and a six-figure price tag equally intimidating to go along with it. But the only question about everyone’s mind remains: how does the new model compare with the original?

In its most powerful Trim – the 2011 2.5 Sport – The original Tesla Roadster produced 288 HP (215 KW) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) of torque courtesy of a pack of 53 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion batteries. It came matched to a single-speed BorgWarner transmission, allowing a Sprint of 0-60 mph of about 3.7 seconds, and returning a reach of up to 244 miles.

With a price tag of around $128,500, the 2.5 Sport Roadster was never meant to be a cheap vehicle. It is true that the model 2.5 came with a series of unique features on the standard model, in particular a revised front fascia, forged steering wheels, new seats, an optional seven-inch touchscreen with a backup camera, and the Improved sound reduction.

The new Tesla Roadster, however, is something completely different. Of course, we are taking all the performance details mentioned with a grain of salt considering that the new Roadster will not be on the road until at least 2020. That said, Elon Musk touts a time of 0-60 mph of only 1.9 seconds – which would make it the fastest car ever built, theoretically.

Electric motor is reportedly able to produce 7,376 lb-ft of torque (!), allowing the sub-two-second time of 0-60, a maximum speed of 250-Plus miles per hour (402 kmh), all at the same time returning an impressive 620 Miles (997 km) from the range on the highway. Again, we remain skeptical.

2020 Tesla Roadster Transmission Price

Of course, for all that performance you’ll pay a pretty strong price. The new Tesla Roadster will start at $200,000, or $250,000 if you want the limited “Founder’s Edition”. Only 1,000 examples of the latter will be built. Buyers will have to put a deposit of $50,000 to reserve one, with the production planned to start at some point in 2020. Let’s hope the new Roadster lives up to the hype.
