When Rogan specifically asked if Cybertruck would come before the Roadster, Musk said it made more sense to Cybertruck first.

And that’s just the ‘basic’ model; Musk has indicated that there may be a version with a better performance. Charging details are yet to be revealed, although it appears the Roadster will feature the CCS compatibility and 200kW fast charging available on the Model 3.
What’s also surprising is that this car doesn’t have a powered roof. Instead, the owner must remove part of the roof by hand, before storing it in the car.
We haven’t seen what the Roadster looks like in it, but Tesla says the two-plus-two car will be powered by three electric motors: one motor works on the front wheels, while the other two work on the rear, making this a four-wheel-drive car.
What’s even more remarkable is that Tesla claims the new Roadster will return more than 600 miles of 200kWh battery. For context, that’s twice as much as what has been seen in the Model S, Model X or Model 3. No electric production car has yet to cross the 400-mile limit, let alone the 600-mile mark that Tesla debated.

Despite a production delay expected until 2022, the company has already received orders for the Roadster in the US.
