2020 Tesla Model Y
2020 Tesla Model Y welcome to Tesla car USA designs and manufactures electric car, we hope our site can give you best experience. During Tesla’s conference call today, CEO Elon Musk explained the plan of Tesla, model Y, to bring the car manufacturer’s upcoming all-electric CUV into production, and he said that the vehicle will bring 2020 “a production revolution.”
Last month, a report from Reuters, which they claim was based on sources in the supply chain, stated that Tesla had the goal to launch Model Y production in November 2019.
During today’s conference of Tesla’s Q1 2018, Musk denied the report and declared instead that Tesla wants to bring the new vehicle 2020 into production. The CEO also confirmed that Tesla did not plan to manufacture the Y model in his Fremont factory, but that it would instead announce a new factory location at the latest in the fourth quarter, meaning that it should be confirmed by the end of the year.
In addition, Musk, who has long been a model-y architecture aiming at fast and easy production, doubled the hype by saying that it was a ‘ production revolution ‘. In February, Musk said Tesla plans to unveil the Model Y production plans in the next 3-6 months and to launch the company this year with capital investment in the program.
The CEO confirmed today that they have already started investing, but the investment related to model Y is currently low and will be significant only next year. Last year, Musk surprised people when he said that model y would be built on a new platform for production in ‘ end 2019 to 2020 ‘. This is a change from your previous plan to build the vehicle on the Model 3 platform to bring it to market faster.
Musk later went back to his latest announcement and said Tesla would return to his original plan to bring the car to market earlier. But it now looks as if the plans may have changed again, as Tesla learns from mistakes that have led to a very slow production ramp of Model 3 and who apply the knowledge to the development of the Model Y.
Musk said that they take the time to make development decisions to minimise the investment needed to bring the vehicle into production.

When one talks about making a new platform for model Y, Musk has previously said that Tesla will get rid of the 12-volt battery architecture. It means no more lead-acid battery and a different type of power supply in-car electronics. Musk says it will significantly reduce the overall cabling and simplify the production process.
Less wiring means simpler automation in the production process and Musk plans a completely different – automated – production line for the Model Y.
And it is still unclear where this production line is going to land, but Tesla seems to be actively watching. If you know where it might land, let us know.
