Its long and rugged road to mass production began in July 2017 and has continued well in 2018, with just a few thousand delivered in its first six months. Two versions have been announced: the long-range model with 310 miles of nominal range, and the standard 3 model with 220 miles.

We have rated the 2018 Tesla Model 3 at 6.6 points of 10, giving you extra points for design, performance and energy efficiency, but downrating severely by the multiple quality issues reported in many new 3s model delivered in 2017 and early of 2018. That the overall score suffers from the lack of a safety rating, and the number could increase once the results of the shock test are available in the NHTSA or IIHS.
2018 Tesla Model 3
A Tesla, the recognizable model 3 is roughly the same size as a BMW 3-Series, the final sports sedan for decades. It is a four-door sedan with a small luggage compartment open, instead of sharing the 5-door hatchback “Sedan” design of the larger S model, although both cars a rebound molded parts. The two versions with different ranges clearly use battery packs of different capacities, although oddly Tesla has declined to give the capacity figures in kilowatt-hours. Its capacities are intended to be about 50 kwh for low car, 75 kwh for long range model. While Tesla is promising to begin deliveries of all-wheel-drive versions in spring 2018, the first several months of the model 3s were rear-wheel-drive only, using an electric motor of 192 kw (258-Horses of Force) that triggered the rear wheels.
Tesla quotes acceleration times from 0 to 60 mph of 5.1 and 5.6 seconds for long-range and standard cars, respectively. However, there will probably be a “P ” performance model much faster sometime in the future.
No crash-safety test results have been released by the NHTSA or IIHS for Model 3, although Tesla has a good record in getting superior safety indices for the model S and the model X before it. It comes standard with eight airbags and automatic emergency braking.
All 3S models include keyless entry, a 60/40-split rear seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, cloth, an audio system with FM radio and Internet streaming, and the 15-inch central touchscreen. In addition, they are equipped with Wi-fi and LTE wireless connectivity, Voice Control is enabled, two USB ports and navigation.
Options include air-conditioned seating with upholstery materials and premium upholstery, 12-way power adjustable front seats with memory settings including steering wheel and mirrors, a premium audio system, a tinted glass roof, one side foldable with automatic heating and attenuation mirrors, LED fog lights, and a center console covered with smartphone coupling to replace the standard open design.

Potential buyers of model 3, should know that from August 2017, Tesla said he 455,000 reserves – each accompanied by a payment of $1,000.
